The debuff is -2% per stack, up to a maximum of -12% at six stacks. The enemy target of your Sensor Analysis ability will also receive a Defense debuff that increases in effectiveness the longer you have the target under the effect of that ability. The following is a list of possible Secondary Deflector modifiers: It is possible for a Secondary Deflector to have the same modifier more than once, up to a max of 3 times (at Uncommon, Rare, and Ultra Rare). The amount the skill is boosted at a given Mk level seems to be about 14/ 15, or halfway between what a primary deflector gets innately, and what it gets from a mod. All Epic Secondary Deflectors have as their default fifth modifier, though this can be re-engineered into a different modifier. Like standard Deflectors, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, and Epic Secondary Deflectors gain additional modifiers, however these items also gain a single special enhancement at Very Rare rarity.
The Deteriorating Secondary Deflector can be upgraded through the Gear Upgrade System, and requires Tech Upgrade Kits from the Science School, or Universal Tech Upgrades. The following are the base values (at 0 EPG):

The Radiation damage dealt scales with the Mark level of the item, and then further with your Exotic Particle Generator skill. Skills that affect this ability: Starship Exotic Particle Generator (Improves Exotic Damage) Your Science Bridge Officer abilities that apply a debuff will cause a minor amount of Radiation damage over time with 50% Shield Penetration. Deteriorating Secondary Deflectors cause Science Bridge Officer abilities that apply a debuff to cause damage over time to your target.
